"Artistic Touch" focuses on the artist as a subject, and questions the artist’s place in media and culture. The work showcases a woman’s magazine’s special feature on "art", responding directly to the climate during the 15th Istanbul Biennale times. Among the 356 pages of the said magazine, many filled with non-art related advertisements, the artist finds herself occupying half a page; decides to sandpaper the rest, only leaving herself and the cover of the magazine which the name of the magazine and its theme for the month “Artistic Touch” can be observed.
