Hacer Kıroğlu’s recent “Copy:” series employ one of her signature practices; working with repetitive patterns and movements, but the series’ also shift its focus and makes problems concerning the meaning of art, as well as manual labour, copying, replication, and the link between artist genius and craft, a part of the process. The usage of carbon paper to copy and replicate an artist's work plays an important role in these series. The mechanism of copying is shown on the blue surface of carbon paper, where a negative copy of the design may be seen.
